QGato v0.2.0 - Dynamic Loading Updates & Fixes

I’m happy to share another series of enhancements, bug fixes, and feature additions that will make using QGato even smoother.

Key Updates

1. Language Auto-Detection

In previous versions, the search location was selected at random, which resulted in results in random languages. To fix this, users had to manually pick a language from the available options. As of this release, automatic language detection is now implemented. This feature will set the search language/location automatically according to your browser’s set language.

2. Forums Dynamic Loading

One significant addition is dynamic loading for forum search results. Forums (like Reddit) can now load results dynamically as you scroll, ensuring a faster, more responsive experience when browsing discussions.

3. Scrolling Improvements

The bug causing dynamic scrolling to malfunction when there weren’t enough results has been fixed.

4. Image Search Enhancements

Fixed issues with Quant images not loading properly.

Expanded support to retrieve images from DeviantArt, offering a broader range of image results.

5. Search Suggestions

Search suggestions have been expanded and are now available across all search result pages, improving user experience by offering relevant suggestions as you type.

6. Dark Reader Support

Added support for Dark Reader users. This will ensure that the Dark Reader plugin will not try to convert the dark theme into dark theme, which sometimes results in breaking the look of the webpage.

7. Cookies

Cookie Settings: Cookies have been switched to strict mode, enhancing privacy and security.

8. Mobile Interface

I’ve also made tweaks to the mobile experience, including the removal of unnecessary buttons on mobile displays to create a cleaner, more user-friendly interface.
